What the converters do
Convert image turns JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF, SVG, HEIC and JPEG XL into JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, ICO or JPEG XL. Convert audio rewrites MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, Opus and FLAC into one another, in batches. Convert font turns TTF and OTF files into WOFF and WOFF2 web fonts and back, for a website or an app. Extract archive opens ZIP, RAR, 7z, TAR and GZ files, shows what is inside and lets you save the files you need.
Limits and privacy
Everything is converted in your browser: the file is read into memory, rewritten by WebAssembly code in a Web Worker and handed back as a download. Nothing is uploaded, so the limit is your device's memory, not a quota on a server; the network meter under each result shows 0 B. Video conversion is not here yet: Compress video already rewrites MOV, MKV or WebM clips as MP4 or WebM, depending on the browser.

Questions
- Is converting lossless?
- It depends on the formats. Archive to files, TTF to WOFF2 and WAV to FLAC keep everything. Converting to JPG, WebP, MP3 or AAC is lossy: the quality setting decides how much detail stays.
- Which archives can I open?
- ZIP, RAR, 7z, TAR and compressed TARs (.tar.gz, .tar.bz2, .tar.xz), a single .gz file, ISO disc images and CAB. A password-protected ZIP opens with its password; encrypted 7z and RAR files cannot be opened, and a lone .bz2 or .xz file (not a TAR) is not supported. RAR is read-only: the tool opens RAR files but does not create them.
- Can I convert videos too?
- Not on this page yet. Compress video rewrites the MOV, MKV and WebM clips your browser can play as MP4 or WebM, depending on the browser, which covers most conversions.
