Merge PDF

Combine PDF files into a single document. The files stay in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Updated November 4, 2026

Options

Each row has a Pages field: leave it empty for the whole file, or type the pages to take, like 1-3, 5.

How it works

  1. Drop two or more PDF files anywhere on this page.
  2. Reorder them with the arrows; the merged result updates right away.
  3. Download the combined PDF.

Scans, contracts and applications

The usual job is an application that must be one file: the form, the ID, the diploma, the proof of address. Drop them all, up to 100 files of up to 200 MB each, drag them into order and download. Each row has a Pages field, so you can take pages 1-3 of one file and the last page of another without splitting anything first. A scan of fronts and a scan of backs, made separately on a phone, become one document in reading order with Interleave, and Second file runs backwards handles a stack whose backs were scanned last page first.

Options for printing and navigation

Blank page after odd-length files keeps every document starting on a right-hand page when the result is printed on both sides. A bookmark per file gives the reader a table of contents in the sidebar, with each file's own bookmarks nested under it, so a 300-page bundle stays navigable.

Size, quality and phones

Pages are copied as they are, so nothing is re-encoded and the quality does not change; the result weighs about the sum of its parts. Send it to Compress PDF when a portal has a limit, or to Add page numbers for a bundle that will be printed. The merging runs in your browser, on a phone or a computer, and the documents never leave your device.

Why people use it

  • Free, no account

Every tool is free, with no sign-up, no e-mail address and no limit on how often you use it.

  • Your files stay on your device

The browser opens the file and processes it in memory, on your device. Nothing is uploaded, so nothing can be kept, leaked or looked at.

  • No watermark

The result is yours as it is: no watermark, no branding, no trial version.

  • Any device

A phone, a tablet or a computer with a current browser is enough: no app to install, no software to update.

  • Works offline after the first visit

The browser keeps the pages and their engines, so a tool you have opened once keeps working without a connection.

  • Open-source engines

The code that does the work is open-source software, named on the Licences page, running as WebAssembly in your browser.

Why it is private

Everything you type or drop here is handled by your browser, on your device. Nothing is uploaded. To verify, open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and use the tool: you will see no request carrying your data.

While a file is being processed, the counter under the result shows the page's network traffic: 0 requests and 0 B for your data.

How to check it yourself, step by step

What you can check yourself

Open your browser's developer tools on the Network tab before you drop a file: while the tool works you will see no request carrying your data, and the counter under every result shows the page's own measurement.

The site sets no cookies, so there is no cookie banner. Anonymous usage counts and error reports without file names are the only things that leave the page, as the privacy policy describes.

Every change goes through thousands of automated tests in three browser engines, including a guard that fails a test if a single byte of a file leaves the page.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a limit on the number or size of files?
Up to 100 files per merge, 200 MB each, with no account. Memory on phones is the practical limit for very large documents.
Are bookmarks, links and form fields kept?
Yes. Every file becomes a bookmark with its own outline underneath, links inside a document keep pointing at the right page, and form fields stay fillable (a field name used by two files gets a numeric suffix). Links to pages you left out are removed rather than left dead.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Yes. When a file is encrypted the tool asks for its password and removes the protection locally with qpdf, in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.
Does the merged file get uploaded anywhere?
No. Merging is done with pdf-lib inside your browser. The indicator under the result shows the network traffic during processing.
Can I merge a JPG and a PDF into one file?
Not directly: this tool takes PDFs only. Turn the picture into a PDF with JPG to PDF first, then drop both files here and put them in order.
Can I merge PDFs on my phone without an app?
Yes. Open the page in the phone's browser, pick the files from your downloads or a chat, order them and download the result.
Can I take only some pages from a file?
Yes. Each row has a Pages field: type 1-3, 5 to take those pages, or leave it empty for the whole file.
Does merging lower the quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, with their fonts, pictures, links and form fields; nothing is re-encoded.
Why is the merged file so large, and what can I do?
It weighs about as much as the files put together. Send it to Compress PDF, which rewrites the pictures inside at the resolution they are shown and leaves the text sharp.

Install it as an app

Chrome, Edge and Android browsers offer to install this site from the address bar or the menu; on iPhone use Share, then Add to Home Screen. It opens like an app, keeps working offline and still processes everything on your device.
