Your files

Files you process with our tools are read and processed by your browser on your device. They are never sent to our servers or to anyone else. We cannot see them, and we do not keep file names, contents or results. Generated passwords are created on your device and never leave it.

What we collect

No personal data, no cookies, no advertising or tracking scripts. The site keeps anonymous, aggregated statistics on our own server: how many times each tool was used per day, language and country (from the edge's country header; no IP address is stored), whether the run succeeded, how long it took, a rough size bucket and how a file arrived (dropped, handed over from another tool, or shared to the site), plus page speed measurements (Web Vitals). Page views are counted by a self-hosted, cookie-free instance of Umami. None of this contains file names, contents, text or any identifier that could link two visits. When a tool fails, the browser sends an anonymous error report to our server: the tool, the type of error, the browser family and a short message with any file name removed; these reports are deleted after 90 days. The PDF Editor reports anonymously only the document's editability class (full, partial, incompatible), the outcome, and the program that produced the file (one of about ten names) — never any content.

If you use the request page, the feedback box under a tool or the search box, the text you type there (a request title and description, a rating and comment, or a search query that matched nothing) is sent to our server and stored together with the language of the page, so we can decide what to build next. Please do not write personal data in those fields. Votes on requests are limited to one per visitor per day by storing a one-way hash of your IP address (for IPv6, its network prefix) mixed with a secret that changes every day; the hash cannot be reversed and becomes useless the next day. Retention: raw page speed samples are deleted after 90 days, feedback comments and unmatched search queries after 12 months, and the daily vote secret the next day; aggregated counters and the request titles stay.

Our hosting and network provider processes your IP address and request headers for the few milliseconds needed to deliver the page and to protect the site from abuse, as any website does. Our own server applies rate limits in memory and does not keep access logs.

What stays in your browser

Some tools remember your last settings or your text in your browser's local storage, so you can come back to them. That data is stored only on your device, is never transmitted, and can be cleared from the tool (Clear / Start over) or from your browser settings. The browser also keeps a copy of the site's own files (pages, engines) so the tools work offline; it contains nothing of yours and is cleared with the browser's site data.

Third parties

We do not share data with third parties. The statistics and the texts above are stored on our own server. The site does not embed third-party scripts, fonts from external servers or social media widgets.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or erase personal data we hold about you. The statistics are anonymous and cannot be linked to you. If you wrote something in a request or in feedback that you want removed, write to [contact email] and quote the text. The data controller is [Operator: company name, address].

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date. Material changes, such as adding statistics, are also announced on the home page.
