SMS QR code generator
An SMS QR code opens the phone's messaging app with a number and, optionally, a message already typed, so the person only has to tap send. It is the quickest way to collect replies at an event, let customers claim a promo code, start a support conversation or sign up for alerts without a form.
Many codes at once (batch)
One value per line, or a CSV (first column); up to 1,000 codes, downloaded as a ZIP with the current style.
Fill in the details to generate the code.
The code uses the SMSTO format that iPhones and Android phones recognise in the camera app. It is generated in your browser and encodes the number and text directly: no account, no redirect through a server, and the code never expires.
Tips
- Write the number with the country code (+40…, +34…) so the code works for visitors from abroad.
- Keep the message under 160 characters and avoid line breaks; some messaging apps drop them.
- Add a short printed hint next to the code ("Scan to text us") so people know what will happen.
Why it is private
Everything you type or drop here is handled by your browser, on your device. Nothing is uploaded. To verify, open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and use the tool: you will see no request carrying your data.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the message sent automatically?
- No. The messaging app opens with the number and text filled in; the person still has to tap send, so nothing happens without their consent.
- Can I use it for WhatsApp instead?
- For WhatsApp use the link type with https://wa.me/<number>?text=<message>; the SMS type targets the phone's own messaging app.
