WiFi QR code generator
Type the network name and password, and the generator encodes them in the standard WiFi format that iPhones and Android phones recognise in the camera app. Guests scan the code and join the network without typing. Print it for a café, a guest room, an office reception or the fridge at home.

Tips
- Choose the security type your router uses; WPA covers WPA2 and WPA3. Open networks need no password.
- Download SVG for printing at any size; PNG at 1024 px for documents and chats.
- Test the code with a phone that has never joined the network before printing a hundred copies.
Why it is private
Everything you type or drop here is handled by your browser, on your device. Nothing is uploaded. To verify, open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and use the tool: you will see no request carrying your data.
Frequently asked questions
- Can someone read my password from the code?
- Yes: the password is encoded in plain form in the QR, by design, so only print it where you would also write the password.
- Does it work for hidden networks?
- Yes; the phone will search for the hidden SSID when scanning.
