vCard QR code generator

A vCard QR code holds a contact card in the standard vCard 3.0 format: when someone scans it with the camera app, the phone offers to save the contact with the name, phone numbers, email, company, job title, website and address already filled in. Print it on a business card, a shop window or an email signature and nobody has to type your details or risk a typo.

Many codes at once (batch)

One value per line, or a CSV (first column); up to 1,000 codes, downloaded as a ZIP with the current style.

Fill in the details to generate the code.

The card is encoded in the image itself, built entirely in your browser: nothing is sent to us, there is no account, no redirect and no expiry. Choose colours, a logo and the dot style, run the scan test, then download PNG or SVG.

Tips

  • Keep the card short: every field adds modules, and a dense code needs more space to scan. Name, one phone and an email scan easily at 2 cm.
  • With a logo in the middle the error correction is raised automatically; still test with a phone before printing a stack of cards.
  • Scan the finished code with the QR reader on this site to see the fields exactly as a phone will read them.

Why it is private

Everything you type or drop here is handled by your browser, on your device. Nothing is uploaded. To verify, open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and use the tool: you will see no request carrying your data.

Frequently asked questions

Does the contact update later?
No. The details are stored in the code itself, so a changed phone number needs a new code. The advantage is that the code works forever and offline.
iPhone and Android both read it?
Yes. vCard 3.0 is what both camera apps expect; Android also reads the older MECARD format, which the reader on this site understands too.
